Ayer, jueves 4 de abril, tuvo lugar la ceremonia de entrega de los BAFTA Games Awards 2019 en el Queen Elizabeth Hall de Londres, los galardones más prestigiosos del mundo del videojuego.
Así, el protagonista de la noche fue God of War que se alzó con cinco premios BAFTA, un hito compartido con The Last of Us y Hellblade Senua’s Sacrifice. Mientras que la obra independiente de Lucas Pope, Return of the Obra Dinn, ha conseguido llevarse dos de las seis nominaciones.
Lo cierto es que no ha habido grandes sorpresas –si de algo se caracterizan los BAFTA es precisamente por eso– en una gala con algunos chistes bien metidos y, por supuesto, con alguna pullita al brexit. Sin embargo, sí ha llamado la atención que Red Dead Redemption 2 no se haya llevado absolutamente nada. Puede que fuese una forma de castigarlo por los rumores sobre el crunch en Rockstar tras las declaraciones de Dan Houser.
Por último, los españoles de Nomada Studio no han tenido suerte en ninguna de las tres nominaciones con las que contaba GRIS, uno de los mejores juegos de 2018 que consiguió ganarse a crítica y público por el conjunto tan sublime que forma su apartado visual, la música y la historia que esconde.
